About Gloversville, NY
Nestled in the Mohawk Valley region of New York State, Gloversville is the most populated city in Fulton County. Gloversville became the official name of the community in 1828, because of the area’s many glove making facilities. By 1853 Gloversville incorporated as a Village and, in 1890, as a city. Gloversville has two historic districts and several individual landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) including the Gloversville Library, built in 1904.
